It’s been three years. Three fucking years since she left. And yet, it feels like yesterday. I didn’t stop her. I watched her pack. Silent. Cold. Pretending like I didn’t care. Like her walking out of the door wasn’t tearing something apart inside me. Maybe I thought if I didn’t beg, if I didn’t plead, I’d come off stronger. But all I did was let the only woman I ever loved slip through my fingers. And every goddamn day since, I’ve been living with that choice. I remember the first time I saw her. She had walked into my production house. And now… now she’s just gone. But she’s always there. In every line I write. In every frame I shoot. In every lullaby I hum to Vedant. She left. But she never really left. And I don’t know how to let her go.
"𝐒𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐰 𝐚 𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐞... 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐝?" She wanted him. Desperately. But he kept his distance. His intentions were unknown to her but he gave her what she needed, the support she needed, the attention she craved for, but there was always something missing. Something that wasn't letting her breathe in peace—the unspoken truth that he wasn’t truly giving her all of him. But even if he didn't give himself to her—he didn’t let anyone else have her either. No one. Not even for a moment. He kept her close, but only at arm’s length. He possessed her without ever fully owning her. He didn't abandon her. But he didn't fully accept her either. Did he crave her the way she wanted him? Did he want her? Even he didn’t know.
⋆✧𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞✧⋆ "Will you marry me?" he asked, his words startling me. His proposal stemmed more from a desire to possess me than from genuine love. It felt like he wanted to prevent me from seeing anyone else. "And why would I marry you?" I asked, my voice dripping with sarcasm. He furrowed his brow. "Because we're dating, aren't we? You shouldn't have any objections, should you? Besides, Aarvi and my family loves you." I took a step closer, my tone chillingly calm. "And what about you, Anirudh? What about your feelings? "So you're scared of commitment huh?" I snapped at him. He looked down, avoiding my gaze. "You know everything I have belongs to you." "But I never wanted anything from you," I countered, my voice rising. "All I ever wanted, all I ever needed, was for you to love me." Tears welled up in my eyes, and I gripped his collar, my voice trembling. "Just tell me once, Anirudh, just once that you love me. I would leave everything else behind for you without a second thought." He continued to avoid my gaze, the silence his damning confession. "Just go, Anirudh, and don't ever show your face again" I whispered. I turned away, intending to leave him standing there, but I felt him grip my arm, spinning me around. "I'm leaving for now," he said, his voice low and dangerous, "but I can't make that other promise." "What do you mean?" "I will marry you, Ruhi Shekhawat," he declared, his eyes gleaming with a possessive intensity. "No one can stop me. You've seen the loving side of me, but now you'll witness a side of me you won't soon forget. A side that will go to any extent to have you. A side that will stop at nothing when it's about you" He leaned in and pressed his lips against mine.
